Scottish Evening

Our Scottish Evening was a sell out this year! Thank you to everyone who came along. The evening was kicked off with the 44th Boys Brigade Pipe Band who really raised the roof. Four Primary 7 children were comperes for the evening - Jack G, Alex, Skye and Jordan. The night was fun filled with music from the strings group accompanied by Miiss Davidson and the choir, conducted by Miss Wales. There were poetry recitals from this years winners of the Burns competition. Groups of children from Primary 5, 6 and 7 demonstrated Scottish Country dancing and then parents, carers and friends joined in. Imogen from Primary 2 and her sister Georgia showed off their skills in Highland danciing. A big thank you to Mr Donaldson for reading out the results of the Scottish Quiz and Guess the Haggis as well as providing and controlling the sound system. He also brought the evening to an end by leading the singing of "Auld Lang Syne". Mrs Knox thanked everyone who had supported the evening and the performers for making it such a successful event.
