P1 children will visit the DCA on Thursday 24 October during the DCA's annual Film Festival. The children will watch a film based on the Julia Donaldson Picture Book "Room on the Broom".

There will be a Curriculum Evening for all P1 Parents and Carers on Wednesday 4th September at 6.00pm. This will allow for P1 Parents and Carers to meet their child's class teacher and to find out more about the learning in Primary 1. Please come to the main reception door.

Our school netball team won last night. This was their first match in the Summer League and the scor was Eastern Primary 4, Fintry Primary 2.

On Wednesday 29th May twenty four of our P6 and P7 children took part in Dundee Schools Athletics Championships at Caird Park. The children all had a great time. All children gave their best effort and were a credit to the school. It was the first time children had work our new school tracksuits and their were many compliments from spectators. Many children made the finals ands our medal winners were Scott P7 who achieved gold in the long jump and 100 metres. Ellie P7 who achieved bronze in the long jump, Brandon P7 who achieved silver in the 400 metres and Daniel P6 who achieved bronze in the 400 metres. Well done to everyone involved.

Work has now begun on our playground . The new playground markings are colourful and the children are having great fun, using their imagination to make up games. Thanks goes to our playground parent group who along with the children came up with a great playground design. More work will continue throughout this year.

Sports Day will be held on Friday 14 June and there will be staggered times to allow parents to spectate. P1 - P2 are 9.30am - 10.30am on the astroturf pitch in the playground, P3 - 4 are 10.30am - 11.30am on the astroturf pitch in the playground and P5 - P7 are 1.30 - 2.30pm at Dawson Park. We look forward to seeing you all there.

We really appreciate the hard work and effort put in by parents and carers to raise so much money for our Dance-athon. This has allowed us to buy lots of new Physical Education and ICT resources for the children. Here are a few examples of what we have bought. Thank you.

Ten children from P6b were selected to take part in a kwik cricket tournament at Forthill Sports Centre on Thursday 30 March. The children did very well and really enjoyed their day.
